In essence, it is an all-in-one automated Windows process tuner. You can choose at what priority processes should run, and which CPUs should be assigned to them. You can also disallow certain programs from running, log all programs run, automatically restart programs, limit the number of instances of a program, and much more. You can even indicate processes that should induce entrance into the High Performance power scheme or prevent the PC from sleeping. A gaming mode also allows for easy process priority optimization for avid gamers.

For all types of servers its ProBalance algorithm can improve responsiveness, and the automated process control can allow you to tweak running processes in ways never before possible. The isolated core engine (processgovernor.exe) can run without the GUI, making it entirely invisible to the user interface if desired. A password can be set to protect the configuration file. The core engine can be run any number of ways; an instance for every user, a single global instance, or run as a service.

Changes in Process Lasso 6.0.0.62 (July 28 2012):
• Fixed bug that could cause core engine to crash when a Keep Running process is first launched when logging of these events is enabled. Governor may recover and continue afterwards depending on config, but obviously no crash is acceptable. Caught in extended debugging.
• Fix 'missing string' error seen briefly by some during auto-update download (won't be seen update *after* this)
